According to the U. S. Department of Commerce, STEM occupations are growing at 17%, while other occupations are growing at 9.8%. STEM degree holders have a higher income even in non-STEM careers. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics workers play a key role in the sustained growth and stability of the U.S. economy, and are a critical component to helping the U.S. win the future. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. Innovation leads to new products and processes that sustain our economy. This innovation and science literacy depends on a solid knowledge base in the STEM areas. It is clear that most jobs of the future will require a basic understanding of math and science. Despite these compelling facts, mathematics and science scores on average among U.S. students are lagging behind other developing countries.

What are the benefits of STEM track?

STEM stands for Science, TechnologyEngineering, and Mathematics. STEM Education is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it.

WHY CHOOSE STEM?

I’m more prefer S.T.E.M as my track which I’ll give focus for 2 years, why? first, availability, since I am currently studying at St. Anne College of the Pacific STEM track is open for all students, not all tracks and strands will be offered by schools in your area. You should check the available options first. Try to inquire too if the schools are well equipped.
Second is my college plans, I ask myself first what course am I planning to take? what job can I do which can build up my goals without any hesitations?   to support my own family in the near future without giving up. I’d like to see the world and the world to see me as physician which cure people in pain.

STEM can help students like me in some courses related to STEM track like engineering, some medical courses. It can help lessen the burden of studying during college day because we already have a small insights about the courses we want to study in college.

For kindergarten to 12th grade, is an American expression that indicates the number of years of primary and secondary education found in the USA, that is similar in several other countries, such as AfghanistanAustraliaCanadaEcuadorEgyptIndiaIranPhilippinesSouth KoreaTurkey[1] for publicly supported school grades prior to college.

When we adopted a new school system in 2016, challenges ensued. As a result, we went through an overhaul in our education. In the meantime, a few learners still feel the effects of this shift to K to 12. The first batch of the system, though, will soon step up with the skills they have learned. So as a senior high school student who wishes to follow their lead, you can now choose your own path. The K to 12 tracks and strands aim to help you master your skills and learning. In the end, you’re more than prepared to join the workforce or move on to college.
